Acids and bases with red cabbage juice

This experiment teaches elementary school children to easily distinguish between acids and bases using a homemade acid-base meter.

The experiment is very simple: add fresh red cabbage juice to all kinds of products that children come into daily contact with and observe which color changes take place. For example, the products can be classified according to color from acid to base and children realize that acids and bases are ubiquitous.
