De Europese Unie in de klas: wat en hoe?
De Europese Unie is van ons allemaal. Ontstaan vanuit de wens om oorlog eens en voor altijd van het Europese continent te bannen, is de Unie vandaag uitgegroeid tot een veelzijdig samenwerkingsverband van 27 lidstaten, onder het motto 'in verscheidenheid verenigd'. Via wetgeving, programma’s en projecten kleurt de Europese Unie ook ons leven, en daarom ligt het ook voor de hand dat kinderen en jongeren kennis kunnen maken met dit inspirerende project.
Europa in je klas
Deze themapagina biedt ideeën en materiaal om Europa in je klas te halen en je leerlingen wegwijs te maken in de geschiedenis en de werking van de Europese Unie. Neem je klas mee op een ronde van Europa, of laat ze spelenderwijs kennismaken met beleid met de middelen die je hier vindt, of op de leerhoek van de Europese Unie. Of ga zelf op bezoek in de Europese wijk, en maak kennis met de Europese Commissie, het Europees Parlement of de Raad, via hun bezoekersdienst. Fijn Europa ontdekken in je eigen buurt, via het Europa Direct-centrum in de provincies West-Vlaanderen, Oost-Vlaanderen, Vlaams-Brabant, Antwerpen of in het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest kan ook uiteraard.
Europadag
Tot slot: Europa bouwen we dag in dag uit, maar Europa vieren doen we in het bijzonder op 9 mei, Europadag. Een uitstekende gelegenheid om de Europese Unie ook bij jou in de klas in de schijnwerpers te zetten!
