European Citizens' Initiative: Educational toolkit
The European Citizens' Initiative (ECI) educational toolkit aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to be active and engaged EU citizens. The toolkit focuses on the European Citizens' Initiative. After the course, students gain a clear idea of the purpose of the citizens' initiative, how it works, how it fits into the broader context of democracy in the European Union, and how they can also use it to change their world.
The toolkit is intended for secondary schools and can easily be used in social studies lessons or on thematic topics. It is available in all official EU languages. The toolkit can be used in the native language, in a foreign language or as part of a CLIL course (offering subjects in a foreign language)
