Tips and tricks to (learn to) work efficiently with Word and Excel: Course
In this session you will be provided with a large number of useful tips & tricks to learn to work faster and more efficiently with the Word word processor and the Excel spreadsheet. You probably work with Word or Excel every day. In this session we will go over many useful tips that will save you time in the future and help you master both packages better. In the first part we focus on useful functions for Word. Afterwards we look at the basic skills of Excel.
On the program
MS Word:
- use templates;
- use character and paragraph formatting (listing, numbering, alignment, paste special, copy/paste formatting);
- working with styles;
- create automatic table of contents;
- working with images;
- use page formatting (headers and footers, page break, page orientation…);
- insert screenshot;
- search and replace;
- Convert word to pdf.
MS Excel:
- get to know the working environment better;
- enter and adjust data;
- adjust the layout of the spreadsheet;
- apply number formats;
- working with the fill handle;
- (automatic) calculation with formulas;
- use functions for processing data;
- searching, sorting and filtering data;
- drawing up graphs;
- have the layout of the spreadsheet automatically adjusted using conditional formatting;
- use templates.
Use
In this course we work with Microsoft Word and Excel version 2019/365.
