Commons have been known since ancient times. Consider the communal grasslands for livestock. Self-interest and private ownership have displaced community interest. But we are now experiencing a revival: there is a return to sharing property, such as community gardens, food supply through picking farms, mobile sharing systems, etc.
The commons can play a role in solving the climate crisis. Koen Wynants of Commons Lab vzw is convinced of this. He illustrates that statement with many examples in this webinar.
