Be Waterwise

A Belgian scientist needs the help of your students. Professor O can travel to 2050 and sees that things are not going well. Every drop counts. Today is a turning point in history. Where do we go from here? Professor O calls on your students to find out how they can use water sustainably.

With fun experiments and assignments, your students investigate how fresh water is currently distributed in the world. They learn about drought and flooding in Belgium and what solutions exist for this. They calculate their own water footprint and monitor how much water is used in the products they buy. They investigate what pollutes our water and why this can be harmful to us and other living creatures. Finally, they put all the puzzle pieces together to see the big picture. Your students go home with concrete actions for at home or at school.
