Jack is not allowed in heaven, but he is not welcome in hell either. To be able to get to heaven, he has to get his soul into the world of the dead. That is why he is sent back to earth. Back on earth he meets Edana and Sam. Edana wants to retrieve her deceased grandfather from the world of the dead and Sam is a contemporary boy who happened to end up in their time. The three go looking for the gate of the dead world, but that is not without risk ...
