Instruction model for toddlers: Reflection


Linking up with informal learning/game supervision is a good way to stimulate math development, for which elements of an instruction model can be used. However, the full application of an instruction model is only sparingly applicable to young children (in maths).

The teacher is asked to use interventions that are in line with the children's learning. These interventions should preferably be in line with the children's play. But how do you do that without disrupting the intense engagement? And is it necessary to instruct? The authors of this article show how you can make responsible choices as a teacher.
